Olivia Hall
Head Coach
Summer 2024 will be Coach Olivia’s seventh season on the SVGC Coaching Staff.
Coach Olivia started swimming competitively when she was 5 years old, and this will be her 15th summer as a Stingray! Olivia swam competitively for CHY/YOTA, as well as for Carrboro High School, where she captained the team her junior and senior years. At Carrboro, Coach Olivia was also a member and captain of the field hockey and lacrosse teams. Summer league is one of her favorite parts of the summer as it is a great way to meet new people, learn more about swimming, and have lots of fun!
During the year, Coach Olivia attends UNC-CH, where she is a member of their Club Water Polo team. Olivia is double majoring in Global Studies and French with a minor in Education, and recently studied abroad in France in the Fall. Outside of swimming, Olivia enjoys spending time with friends, going to concerts, and getting outside, and she can’t wait to make new memories with the team this year!
Coach Scarlett
Assistant Head Coach
Summer 2024 will be Coach Scarlett’s fifth season on the SVGC Coaching Staff.
Coach Scarlett started swimming when she was 5 years old and this will be her 14th year as a part of SVGC, but her first year that she’s too old to compete! In addition to SVGC, Scarlett has swum for NCAC, ACCH, and the Carrboro High School team. Scarlett’s favorite events are the 100 breaststroke and 100 IM. While she was at Carrboro High School, Scarlett also played field hockey and lacrosse.
In addition to the swim team, Scarlett loves spending time outside, hanging out with family and friends, trying new restaurants, and watching lots of sports. Scarlett is a rising sophomore at Duke University in the Trinity College of Arts & Sciences and still deciding what she wants to study.
Summer swim league is one of Scarlett’s most memorable and favorite parts of each summer, and could not be more excited for this season!
Coach Andy
Assistant Coach
Summer 2024 will be Andy’s first season on the SVGC coaching staff. He’s wrapping up his senior year at Carrboro before he heads to swim for Auburn University. He’s been swimming since he was 4 and has stuck with it ever since. He’s swam for SVGC, NCAC, and been a member of the Carrboro swim team all 4 years of high school. In his spare time away from the pool Andy loves to golf and fish. Andy is pumped for the season to start!!
Coach Noah
Assistant Coach
Summer 2024 will be Coach Noah’s first season on the SVGC coaching staff and 10th season on the team as a swimmer. Noah is a rising 12th grader at Carrboro High School. He plays soccer and tennis for Carrboro High School. He loves to play basketball and football with his friends and spending time with his sisters, parents, and dog. Noah’s favorite stroke is breaststroke and his favorite event is the 50 breaststroke but loves relays even more.
Coach Hannah
Assistant Coach
Summer 2024 will be Hannah’s first season on the SVGC coaching staff. She is a rising 10th grader at Carrboro High School, where she plays soccer and swims. Hannah was a stingray when she was younger and swam competitively. She loves to play soccer and hangout with friends and family. Hannah is excited to be coaching this year!
Coach Duke
Assistant Coach
Summer 2024 will be Duke’s second season on the SVGC coaching staff. Duke has been on the Stingrays swim team since he was 5. He likes to play basketball with his friends and played football for Carrboro high school. He also swam for the Carrboro swim team. He is a rising 10th grader and going to Carrboro. His favorite strokes are butterfly and freestyle.
Coach Adam
Volunteer Coach
Summer 2024 will be Adam’s first season on the SVGC coaching staff. He started swimming when he was 5, and joined SVGC’s summer swim team the year he moved to NC. He has been a Stingray for seven years. His favorite stroke is butterfly. He is going into the 9th grade at Carrboro High School. When Adam is not in the pool, he is playing lots of sports like lacrosse, football, and basketball. He also plays the French Horn in his middle school band. Adam is looking forward to being a part of the SVGC coaching staff this year!
Coach Anna
Assistant Coach
Summer 2024 will be Coach Anna’s fourth season on the SVGC coaching staff. She is a rising junior at Carrboro and loves swimming in high school. She started swimming on SVGC when she was 5 years old and also swam year around for several years. Anna’s favorite stroke is backstroke, but enjoys all of the strokes too. Outside of swimming, she enjoys field hockey, lacrosse and hanging out with friends. She loves coaching and is so excited to coach in years to come!
Coach Frannie
Assistant Coach
Summer 2024 will be Coach Frannies third season on the SVGC coaching staff and 13th season as a swimmer on SVGC. She is a rising freshman at Syracuse University and has been on the Carrboro High School swim team the past four years. She also in the past has swum competitively for ACCH. Her favorite events are 50 free and 100 backstroke. She loves coaching and is so excited for this season!
Coach Jackson

Summer 2024 will be Coach Jackson’s third season on the SVGC coaching staff. He has been with SVGC since he was 5 and swam year around for a few years. He is a senior at Carrboro High School and is attending Auburn University in the fall. He also enjoys being outside and hanging out with friends. He can’t wait for the season to start!
Coach Lya
Assistant Coach
Summer 2024 will be Lya’s second season on the SVGC coaching staff. She is a rising freshman at UNC Chapel Hill and couldn’t be more excited to stay close to home. She grew up participating in summer swim with the Stingrays and is so happy to be able to now coach in the summers. In her free time Lya enjoys running and spending time outside with her friends and family, and her favorite stroke is breaststroke!
Coach Peyton

Summer 2024 will be Coach Peyton’s third season on the SVGC coaching staff. Coach Peyton is a rising senior at Carrboro High School where she plays field hockey and soccer. Outside of school she loves hanging out with friends and playing sports! She has been swimming with the SVGC swim team since she was 4 years old and has always loved the team dynamic. She’s so excited to be coaching again this year and can’t wait to start!
Coach Caroline

Summer 2024 will be Coach Caroline’s third season coaching SVGC. Caroline has been a SVGC stingray since she was 5 years old. She is going into 10th grade at Carrboro high school. Caroline also loves to play field hockey, swim, and lacrosse at Carrboro too. Her favorite stroke is breaststroke and backstroke.
Coach Ellie
Assistant Coach
Summer 2024 will be Coach Ellie’s second season on the SVGC coaching staff. She is a rising junior at Carrboro High School. Ellie has been swimming since she was 6 years old, and is so excited to pass her experience down to more swimmers! Ellie’s favorite stroke is butterfly, but her favorite event is 50 free. Outside of the pool, she enjoys playing softball and hanging out with her friends.
Coach Oliver
Assistant Coach
Summer 2024 will be Oliver’s first season on the SVGC coaching staff. He has worked as a lifeguard, head lifeguard, and swim instructor all throughout high school and is now a rising freshman. He swam club and for Carrboro High School throughout all of high school and is very excited to coach the team. In his spare time, Oliver likes to go to the gym, get food, and spend time with friends. Oliver is looking forward to the summer of 2024!
Coach Grey
Assistant Coach
Summer 2024 will be Grey’s first season on the SVGC coaching staff. Grey first swam for SVGC when he was 5 years old, and has swum year-round since he was 9. He is a rising junior at Carrboro High School, where he is also on the school swim team. Grey’s favorite strokes are backstroke and freestyle. Outside of the pool, Grey likes to hang out with his friends, get food, and ride his ripstik.
Coach Brady
Assistant Coach
Summer 2024 will be Brady’s first season on the SVGC coaching staff. Brady started his SVGC days in 2017. He rejoined last year, and enjoyed it so much he decided to swim year-round with NCAC! When Brady is not swimming, he likes playing sports like soccer, football, and lacrosse. He also loves music. Brady is looking forward to volunteering this summer!
SVGC Swim Team
The SVGC swim team is part of the Chapel Hill Summer Swim League, and welcomes swimmers ages 5–18. Our goal is to help each swimmer improve their skills by emphasizing fun, team spirit, healthy competition, and good sportsmanship. The friendships formed among team members make being part of the team truly special.
In order to participate on the Stingrays, swimmers must be a current member of the following clubs: Southern Village, Governors Club, Governors Village, Governors Park, The Preserve, or The Legacy.
